Veteran Nigerian filmmaker and actor, Kunle Afolayan has lashed out at a fan and follower who queried him on why his latest movie, Citation does not have a subtitle.

The fan identified as Isholanson on Twitter took to the micro-blogging platform and told Kunle that his movie, “Citation” is great but since there was no subtitle in the area where the actors spoke French, the movie’s rating is bound to drop.

Here is what he wrote;

“@kunleafolayan Citation Is A Great Film No Doubt, But Non Subtitle Of French Part Is A Great Disservice To The Movie.”

However, it turns out that the movie has subtitles on Netflix and the fan probably watched it on an unauthorized platform, and this got Kunle Afolayan angry. He called the fan out for streaming movies on unauthorized platforms.

Here is what he wrote;

You are a very stupid idiot. That’s what you get if you keep downloading films from unauthorized streaming platforms. Omo ale.”
