Some time ago, Opera partnered with Mdundo, a leading platform that promotes music sharing with a catalog of independent artists across Africa. Based on the partnership, Mdundo music catalog has been integrated into the Opera Mini 50, this will enable users to gain access to music FREE through the browser.
With this feature, users can decide to stream their favorite music or download it as a file to their smartphones. Also, when a music is played, it demonstrates support and more visibility for the artiste.
The new version 50 integrates a new and versatile status bar placed at the top of the browser. Users will receive welcome messages the first time they visit the browser in a day, with notification on the latest happenings per location and events.
With the new version, there is an established connection between the user and the browsing tool. This involve new personalized themes, style to improve users browsing taste and feel.
Data saving is an important aspect for users, the new version 50 displays a data saving widget which is handy whenever users intend to control their data consumption level. Users will also get a detailed summary of their data consumption.
Quick Access to Offline File Sharing
You can share file without the use of mobile data through the Opera Mini app. This feature allows users to transfer images, documents, music, videos to any nearby devices at a super high speed using a safe wi-fi direct configuration. Users can simply share file they have downloaded from the internet to their smartphones
The offline file sharing feature can be seen through the shortcut on the new navigation bar at the bottom of the browser screen.

Opera has partnered with MTN and Airtel in Nigeria to provide free up to 50MB browsing data to its users. The beneficiaries are those using the stated networks.
